Protective shelter
Three women are murdered each day by their abusive partner.
At Safe Harbor protective shelter each family has a private, safe
room to call home while they heal.
Unrestricted use of a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities.
In addition, support services, case management, group
enrollment, food, clothing,and household goods are provided

Community support
Donations and volunteers from the community are what help keep
the shelter going

Domestic Violence Outreach Services


Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women.
- Advocates work with individuals as they remain in the community
to provide safe planning, case management, supportive services,
education, connection to resources, and support groups.

Legal Advocacy
Women are 4 times likely to experience rape, assault, and stalking
after leaving an abusive spouse.
Advocates assist with protective order and stalking injunction
process for those experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault,
or stalking.

Childrens Services
Children exposed to domestic violence are more likely to
experience difficulties in school, be aggressive or anxious, and
carry violence into adulthood as abusers or victims. Here they
offer support groups and special services for children to learn
coping skills and conflict resolution skills.

Safe Housing
In Utah, domestic violence is one of the leading causes of
homelessness.
Families can rent secure, low-cost two and three bedroom
apartments.
Each resident recieves case management and services designed to
help them become self sufficient and move toward a life free from
violence.
