For the semester long Multi-Inquired Project, I was planning to

researched the Reed Gold Mine. In order to get a better understanding
of the Gold Mine, I planned on visiting there soon, research about the
location online. If I could find someone that is in charge of the Gold
Mine, I would like to interview him or her. I want to find out how the
Mine had changed over time.

The topic I chose is cotton exchange in Wilmington. Last class,
my partner and I did some free writes and brainstorms, we both had a
lot of ideas for this topic. There is a lot of history behind the area, and
it had changed a lot throughout history. The place is far, so I was a little
uncomfortable about it; however, my partners mom workers there,
which will give us advantages.

I think selecting a good topic that interests you, is very
important. When you research an topic that doesnt interest you, I
think you will tends to not pay attention to little details. In my senior
year of high school, I was assigned to do a research paper on gay
marriage. The topic wasnt something that I was very interested in.
Therefore, the overall outcome wasnt very great. The information I
used was very general. Now that I decide to do cotton Exchange in

Wilmington, I am looking forward to find all the historical secrets for

the site.
With my group established, I am very excited about the outcome
at the semester long project. I want to find out all the secrets behind
the site.

I have many different experiences when it comes to group work. I
remember there was a group project in my AP biology class. The group
was selected by random. One of the people that I worked with never
showed up for our meetings. He didnt contribute any effort to the
project. Then when it comes to putting the project at the end, only two
other people showed up for our meetings. He didnt contribute any

Another experience that I had was we had a very bossy
teammate in my English class. She was telling everyone what she
wants each of us to do. That style of group work doesnt bother me
that much because I dont have to put in that much work. Overall, I
have more positive experience with teamwork then negative ones.

I never have good experience when it comes to finding facts that
would support my writings. Last semester, I was writing about how the

use how the use of technology will make children have short patient
span. I googled the statistics on that area, I looked into many of the
sites that it come up, but found nothing relocated to my topic. I got an
F for that project because I had no good sources I even look into if
there are more kids with ADHD now then the past and I couldnt find
anything.

The time where I was a expected outcome was my job. My
employer expected me to show up on time. Since my job title is sales
associate, I was expecting to make sales. Also, I was getting paid in
commission; therefore I was expecting outcomes from myself.
Every time I am at work, I was expected to be focus. Even the act
of talking to co-worker could distract me, therefore, my boss wouldnt
like that. Everyday I was expected to sell a minimum of five hundred
dollars. During Christmas season, I was expected to sell one thousand
dollars because it is the busiest season

I had always had computer around me for as long as I could
remember. I think the first time I used computer was at home and it
was for gaming purpose. The first time I used power point was for
school project. It made my presentation better because I was able to
talk and have my classmates follow my presentation on screen; I have

positive feeling about the presentation because it made presenting

project a lot simpler.

worrying about that thing. Do it now, and Move on with your life. I can
relate to this quote because it is true. Every assignment I dont
complete, I think about it all day till its finished. Finishing assignment
late could effect the quality of my work as well. This class has many
assignment that is not done till the end of the semester, therefore its
very easy to procrastinate. It is very important for me not to
procrastinate in this class and set small goals.

Mizner. If you steal from many its research I can relate to that quote
because I believe that if one author has only confirmed the
information, then that information might not by accurate It also shows
that you havent dig deep enough and you are using whatever you
found. If many author has confirmed the information, then the
information are more accurate and reliable.

There are many things we have to consider when writing to

different such as language usage, creativity, and style of writing. Lab
report is a genre I use a lot last semester, we must write it in the MLA
format. We dont add a lot of fancy words to make the writing
interesting to read. It has to be detailed and to the point. Slangs wil not
be used in Lab Reports since audiences have to understand the
experiment without any science knowledge. Pronouns cannot be used.

It is very important to create error free work especially with my
major as actuarial science. Every time I take my math test, I didnt
create error free work. It is very easy to make mistakes. Every time an
error is made, I would have to re do the whole entire problem. It is
acceptable to make errors, but I think it would be a biggest deal in the
future if I made errors.

Wilmington Cotton Exchange is a historical landmark that has
turned into a hot tourism hotspot. Due to the location, the first cotton
export happened there. In 1900s. Mr. Alexander Sprunt took over the
building and turned it into a business. Later, renovation was done to
preserve the building, which makes it how it is today.

I think Spring Break is going to help me catching up with my
sleep, which will make me better. I definitely feel different than I did in
August when I just started my academic journey after my long
vocation. The main thing that is making me tired is lack of sleep. The
midterms this week isnt helping at all.

One image that I must include in my semester project is phote of
all eight building. The photo must include some restaurants, shops,
and tourst. The image can be found anywhere online. The best way to
display the image is to put it in our first slide of our power point. When
people see this image, I want the reader to be able to see the history
value in the buildings. I want the reader to know that there was many
major historical events happened were to lead to how it is today.

This Place is a historical landmark located in Wilmington. It consists of
eight historical buildings dating back to the late 1900s. It is now a

tourism hot spot that has many popular shops and restaurant. Due to
its location, it was previously used to import/ export goods especially
cotton. Slave markets used to exist there.

In 1970s, the citys public school office uniform is more formal. I dont
think the current uniform has the cap. The public school officer
wouldnt be holding a cigrtee in his had while he is greeting the
children. Another differences is that the children are happy to see the
officer. They seem like they respect him as well, while now students
tends to have hatred toward officers now.

The most different experience I had was the transition from high school
to college. One of the most difficult things to get used the grading
system in college. I was used to getting good grades in high school
with minimum effort. However, it has been very hard to keeping up
with my grades because the harsh grading system.

Wilmington beach. It has many shops and restaurant for tourist. There
is also a haunted tour that gives you a overview of the history. The site
had a long history in the past. There were slaves movements, as well
as movies being film there, which is more moderate aspect.

I just started my E-Portfolio yesterday. I set up the website was trying

to embed my documents. I was planning to do a little at a time until
the deadline. I will choose my short inquired project to re do.

This research project is definitely a lot easier with the help of my
teammates. Since there are many areas to cover, we are able to
accomplish more with the help of my team. One thing I like the most is
that all my teammates are very responsible, everyone always do their
own part.

I think Spring Break is going to help me regain my energy from the

beginning of the school year that I have lost throughout the year.
When I began my academic journey in August, I was very excited about
school and learning new things. However, if you asked how I feel about
school now, the respond will be very different. Also, I will have zero
school assignment this Spring Break because I will be finishing all the
midterms. One thing that will also help is to catch up with my sleep.
Since I have morning class everyday, I would be able to sleep in and
catch up on my sleep.

My teammate Cayman and Hannah both are very responsible people. I
am very glad that I choose them as my partners for this semester long
project. In order to gain full understanding of Cotton Exchange in
Wilmington, there is a lot of research that goes into this project. We all
contributed in different areas and combine our research at the end.
Another thing that I like about my team is that we all had very busy
schedule, however our communication was never lacking throughout
the whole semester. This was definitely a positive teamwork
experience.
