Conclusion

In this project, the robotic arms known as Scorbot-ER V Plus are used to transfer a
product from one workstation to the unloading station. Robotic arm is one of the major
projects in today automation industries and is a part of the mechatronic industry todays fast
growing industry. It can be programmed and operated in a number of ways for example the
robotic software which include Advance Terminal Software (ATS) and Scorbase
Programming and the teach pendant functions. ATS is supplied on diskette and operates on
any PC host computer and act as a terminal emulator. Short-form controller configuration,
definition of peripheral devices, short-cut keys for command entry, program editor, backup
manager and print manager are the features of the ATS programming based on this project.
Besides, Scorbase Programming is a robotic control software package which is a menudriven structure and off-line capabilities facilitate robotic programming and operation. The
teach pendant are used for controlling the robot and axis connected in this project. In brief, it
is most practical for moving the axes, recording positions, sending the axes to recorded
positions, and activating programs of the robot. Then, it will be transfer into the programming
system in PC host computer in order to operate the robot based on the commands given. In a
nutshell, the simulation of the robotic arm based on the design produced by the programming
may operate the robot in proper system.
