Handwork
1. Class sings Old McDonald Had a Farm, doing the different
actions described below.
2. Each of the 6 students hold up their animal face plate
when they are mentioned in the song and make sounds
specific to their animal.

Dance performance standard A.4.2Students will define and maintain


personal space and move safely in
groups throughout the general
space.

Footwork:
All students make different animal movements during parts of
the song. Like for a duck, they flap their arms.

Extensions/teaching tips

Formation
Six students are chosen to stand at the front of the room with an
assigned animal face plate. The rest of the class is standing up
by their seats, ready to dance. One teacher plays a drum, while
the other leads the class in singing.
