Maroon 5:She Will Be Loved
Maroon 5 is an all male band consisting of 5 men by the names of Adam Levine,
Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Mickey Madden, and Ryan Dusick. According to
information from Andrew Leahey, Rovi, the band originated in Los Angeles around 1999.
Today it is considered one of pop musics longest lasting bands. Straight from the bands
website I was able to find out that with the fast coming of popularity, Maroon 5 received
a Grammy for Best New Artist in the year of 2005. Maroon 5 was so deeply admired
by fans and expert authorities for their sound on their debut album titled Songs About
Jane including songs like She Will Be Loved as well as their album that went double
platinum titled It Wont be Soon Before Long. In 2010 Maroon 5 gave the world their
third album called Hands All Over. It held some of my favorite songs by them, but the
world as a whole highly admired the mostly well-known song Moves Like Jagger was
one of the best selling singles of all time. Following this accomplishment, in 2012 the
band released Over Exposed, which held another single to strike #1 yet again. Maroon 5
has a total of 6 #1 singles all together thus far. The latest album that maroon 5 has
released, according to Maroon 5 webpage, titled V is grasping the early vibe of Maroon 5
and depicting their most recent successes. This album fueled their fans and enabled
Maroon 5 to take on The Maroon 5 World Tour 2015, which included 37 cities world
wide.

In Maroon 5s song titled She Will Be Loved It contains harmony
(consonance) and meolody. The song begins with Drums playing a 4:4 beat and the guitar
playing over it (or louder) with the melody of the song. The song has a pitch range of
G4-Bb5 or also known as alto. It also has a Homophonic texture and a binary form. She
Will Be Loved carries a pretty swift tempo of 102 BMP. This song contains a number of
instruments including piano, drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, and vocals. The tone color
within this song is, in my opinion, nicely distributed. The drums have a bright tone color,
which makes it distinguishable from the guitars that have a warmer tone color. Another
way the tone color is distinguishable is with the clear tone color within the piano. The
first verse remains similar to the intro and begins with the drums still playing 4:4 beat.
The guitars then play the melody of the song while the voice sings along with to the
melody. The pre chorus and the chorus stay the same other than the drums changing right
before it goes back to 4:4 beat once again. The dynamic from the beginning of the song to
the chorus is from moderately loud to loud and continues to vary during the song. During
the second verse the piano and guitar join to play the melody of the song and the voice
sings over all the instruments. The pre chorus is the same as the prior one except for the
drums being moderately louder during this time without taking away from the voice. The
bridge comes in only consisting of drums and piano playing. The remaining instruments
are brought in after the bridge, in the soft chorus after the bridge there is a pause before
all is resumed again. The song then continues into the last (repeated) chorus, which is the
loudest and followed by some repetitive yeah ohs piling on to pre chorus lines being
echoed underneath, and eventually both music and voices fade out, ending the song.
