Research Project write-up Specifications

I would like this written similar to how you would write a science lab, i.e.:
Part I: Research Question
State your project as a question
Explain your question
Explain what you expect to happen
Part II: Method
How do you plan on answering this question
How will you gather the data
What steps do you follow be explicit!
o Do not say I asked a bunch of people How did you pick the people to be
part of your research, what was the method of selection, how was the data
actually gathered from them if it was a question, how was the question
worded.
Part III: Gather the Data
Show the data gathered
After break we will
Part IV: Do the statistics
Show any graphs that may be useful AT LEAST A SCATTERPLOT!
Calculate the statistics
o At least means, std deviations, and Correlation Coefficient; 5-number
summaries
o Linear Regression information (Equation, r and R2)
o Any others that you may think are useful
Part V: Interpret the statistics
In the context of the problem what did the statistics tell you
Interpret IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PROBLEM!
Part VI: Conclusion
Answer your question
In addition what went well, what went wrong
Sources of error
If you were to do it again what would you do.
