History
Founded in 1965 as VICA
Vocational Industrial Clubs of America

1966, VICA membership was 29,534


1074 chapters in 26 states and territories.

1975, VICA membership was 1,000,000


1981 ,
7,000 VICA members at National Leadership Conference and U.S.
Skill Olympics.
VICA hosts International Youth Skill Olympics, 274 international
contestants from 14 countries in 33 contests.

1998, VICA became SkillsUSAVICA


2004 name was shortened to SkillsUSA

2014 membership is 11.2 million


2015, 6,000+ students, Sec. and Post-Sec to Compete at Nationals
