O. J SIMPSON TRIAL
The O.J. Simpson murder case was a criminal trial held at the Los Angeles County Superior
Court, in which former National Football League star and actor O.J. Simpson better known as the
(Juice) was tried on two counts of murder, one for his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and one for her
friend Ron Goldman. In this trial their were a lot of questions that could not be answered and
yet O.J. devided the country from black verses white.

Simpson hired a high profile defense

team, initially led by Robert Shapiro and subsequently led by Johnnie Cocran and that also
included F. Lee Bailey, Alan Derschowitz, Robert Kardashian, Shawn Holley, and Carl E.
Douglas, with two more specializing in DNA evidence, with a team like that how could he lose.
Johnny Cohran was able to persuade the jurors that their was reasonable doubt, this was the
start of the breakdown of the prosecution case, they did not stand a change , because in the court
of law its innocent until proven guilty and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, well their was
plenty of doubt, O.J. age and physical condition played a major role in the outcome of the trial,
Of course it was equally as important that he was well loved by his peers as well as the public no
one wanted to believe that he Juice was capable of committing sucha crime.
Simpsons celebrity and lengthy televised trial riveted national attention on the so-called trial,
national surveys showed dramatic difference in the assessment of Simpsons guilt or innocence
between black and whites, the white community wanted him guilty rather he did it or not
because Nicole Simpson happen to be a white woman, and the black community did not care if
he commited the crime as long as he was found not guilty because he was black, needless to say

O.J. Simpson was acquitted on October 3 rd, 1995 and change the face of the nation when it
comes to criminal trials, he proved that a celebrity can commit a crime and be acquitted with the
right legal team, well thats the way some thought of it, but all in all it was the justice system that
set him free, and that sam justice system tried him for a different crime of a lesser nature and
made sure the got the time he would have gotten for murder. Cite: Wikipedia:ccBY-SA 3.0
