Teach Arizona: Year-long Student Teaching Chandler High School, CUSD Chandler, Arizona as
well as Corona Del Sol, TUHSD Tempe, Arizona.

Semester 1: Student Teaching Phase-In: Observe and take field notes; become
acquainted with school faculty, staff, administration and rules; Review lesson plans; complete
administrative paper work; teach segments of lessons; assist students; videotape a lesson; collect
student data; create unit and lesson plans.
Semester 2: Official Student Teaching: Student teacher assumes all responsibilities in the
classroom as the lead of a co-teaching model with the supervising practitioner.
Teacher Preparation Program: Science education minor from the University of Arizona.
Participated in semester long internships teaching small lessons and performing observations and
both middle and high school classrooms. Also a participant in education research studying how
college freshmen learn biology by collecting data and implementing results in the BIO 181
classrooms.
