Creating Opportunities for 21st Century Learning


Summer Camps are Offered to Current 3rd-11th Grade WCS Students
Facilitators: WCS Technology Team
Location: Darden Middle School
Each of these summer camps will give you the opportunity to
explore, learn, and create using technology tools.

All camps with be Tuesday-Thursday from 9am-12pm at Darden Middle School.

Description
Design, Build, Play
Would you like to make robots, motorized vehicles, and
other contraptions? Then this makey space camp is
just for you. Participants will use household objects and
electronics to create working machines.
Lights, Camera, Action
Watch your ideas come to life on the big screen as you
and your team use apps on the iPad to learn about the
fundamentals of green screen techniques, script
writing, lighting, editing, and special effects, while
creating a short movie or news broadcast.
Break the Code 2.0
See your Computer Science learning come to life by
learning to code through the use of various robotics,
iPad apps and websites.

All Camp Registration Forms should be returned to your school by


May 20th.
No cost is involved, but students
must provide their own transportation
to and from the
camps location listed above at the posted times. Each summer camp has limited capacity. If more
applications are received than spaces available, names will be drawn. Parents will be notified by
June 9th if your child is selected or put on a waiting list. If you have any questions please contact
