First Position

The child that stood out the most from the movie First Position was Aran. AT
11 years old not only was he the youngest in the movie, but he was also extremely
disciplined for his age. Although his classmates made fun of him, he was able to
overcome the humiliation and continue to fight and pursue his true passion. He was
a special boy because at his age other children are playing outside, riding their
bicycles together or simply enjoying their childhood life. Although Aran is only 11
years old, he inspires me to continue to strive for my goals in life; if an 11 year old
can do it, so can I. It is not easy pursuing a passion without having encountered
through a few if not many hurdles but bypassing them all is what matters. Aran,
decides at such an early age of four years old, to pursue such a meaningful passion
for the rest of his childhood. He made such a mature and meticulous decision. Many
adults who are much older have a difficult time figuring out what their true passions
are. In my own career, I can use this movie to inspire other children just as he
inspires me. I can teach children that discipline is very important when they pursue
their goals in life. Also, pursuing a passion can be difficult and nothing comes easy
in life, however the importance is dedication, time and never give up because
anything is possible. Aran is a good role model not only children but for adults also
who might be experiencing difficulties in life.
