Teachers Role:
-

Teachers have little role in dramatic play other than setting the stage. This
includes written material for literacy that may be used by active children
and their imagination. Recent studies have shown children in child directed
settings use more elaborate language than with teacher directed settings.
Setting the stage would include the props and literature placed in the play
area. A teacher may add props that go with something she is currently
teaching for reinforced learning. Children may act out what they just
learned using the new props. Teachers may intervene when adding new
learning to present an idea.
