Experience
[FISK : Centro de Ensino] [August 2015 Present] [Manaus, Amazonas - Brazil]
As a teacher within a language school setting, I have continued to grow in knowledge of
differentiation strategies with small groups of students learning English as a foreign language. I use
various techniques with the emphasis on interactive activities to bridge between my students
native language of Portuguese with English while making real-world connections applicable to my
students lives.

[Sunland Elementary School] [August 2014 May 2015] [Phoenix, AZ]

As a teacher candidate, I have co-taught alongside a mentor teacher as well as led instructional
activities for 7th and 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies. Differentiation has been paramount
in this experience to develop lesson plans and identify the learning needs of each and every
individual student. I have tailored challenging, measurable, but attainable objectives for students
and have maintained cordial relationships and collaboratively worked with staff to accomplish longterm and short-term goals.

[Clarendon Elementary School] [ January 2014 May 2014] [Phoenix, AZ]

For a semester, I teamed up with a mentor teacher to master objectives in a 5 th grade Math block
class. I worked with the 5th grade team to discuss and implement 5th grade Math curricula. In
addition, I differentiated and led groups and one-on-one activities within the classroom.

[Galveston Elementary School] [August 2013 December 2013] [ Chandler, AZ]

As an intern for one semester, I assisted my mentor teacher and collaborated with colleagues and
staff members on a 3rd grade team. I worked with students individually, as well as led instruction in
small groups, including intervention, for a Language Arts block. During this time, I developed skills in
scaffolding material and the implementation of clear and explicit objectives for the class.
