Toyota issues recall

Toyota issues recall 242,000 Prius and Lexus cars in U.S., Europe and Japan
that may have brake problems. More than 90 complaints have reportedly been issues
to Toyota about the cars needing to to step heavily on the brake pedals. The affected
models include Prius cars that are made during March and October 2009 and Lexus HS
250h made between June and October 2009. Of the recalls in the U.S. 81,570 are
Prius cars and 5,030 are Lexus HS 250h cars. The cars are equipped with a brake
pressure accumulator that may have a crack on an internal part due to vibration.
If the brake pressure cracks, nitrogen gas could get into the brake fluid. Causing
drivers to experience stopping distance increased. No injuries or accidents have
happen with the defect have been reported yet. All drivers who buy the cars driving
affected will receive messages about the recall by mail.
As part of the recall procedure, people who bought the cars can get their cars
replaced the brakes for free. The recall is latest cars in the series for toyota. In april,
recalled 1.7 million cars due to airbag glitch. the automobile maker also recalled 7
million cars because of problems with window switches.
