Graduate Student Clinician, Acute Rehab (August 2015 - May 2016)
Responsible for evaluation and treatment of approximately 12 patients daily. Patients presenting with
swallowing, cognitive, voice and speech/language disorders from various etiologies including stroke, surgery,
traumatic brain injury and advanced aging processes. Experience with Bedside Swallow Studies, Modified
Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS), Passy-Muir valves, tracheostomy tubes, adult articulation/oral motor therapy,
cognitive and speech/language therapy. Administered formal cognitive/language assessments including the
COGNISTAT, Western Aphasia Battery (WAB), and Ross Information Processing Assessment-2 (RIPA-2).
Experience using Cerner PowerChart for electronic medical records. Independently managed caseload,
composed evaluation reports and progress notes along with any related documentation.

Conducted evaluations and developed therapy goals for clients with various speech and language disorders.
Created unique and interactive therapy activities to address the varying goals of clients with deficits in
receptive and expressive language, phonemic awareness, articulation, and related cognitive-linguistic
communication associated with genetic and acquired disorders. Experience using the TouchChat
communication application and SALT language software. Composed evaluation reports, progress summaries,
