(Bayram Binbir) Strategy 1: Teacher Clarity

At the beginning of class, teachers should be clarifying the purpose and learning goals, and providing explicit criteria on how
students can be successful. It could be awesome to present some models or examples to students so they can be able see what
the end product looks like.

(Bayram Binbir) Strategy - 2:Classroom Discussion

At the middle of the lesson teachers could facilitate a discussion sections to engage everyone. This can allow students to pay
attention to class, learn from each other and see if they miss anything that they should know.

(Bayram Binbir) Strategy - 3: Presentation &

Performance
Engagement is greater when students are creating work that requires them to present or practice. So at the end of the lesson
students should be practicing or presenting what they learned or searched about the topic.

(Ali Yavuz) Tip 1: Effective Bellwork

Bellwork is an excellent method to use
begining of the class. Teacher can check
understanding from last class and start to
new topic with an initiative questions. It
should be short and shouldnt spent more
than ten minutes. Harry Wong states that
bellwork is the way an effective teacher
uses for his class. (2010)

(Ali Yavuz) Tip 2: Check for understanding

There are some different ways to
check for understanding. Id choose
online and interactive ways. That ways
students will be more engaged and
teacher will save time on his class.
Asking every single students takes a lot
of time. By using some online resources
like kahoot.it, or quizlet.com it is more
easier and engage all students. It is also
easy to grade their weekly bellworks. So,
it is an effective and fun way to engage
students and check for understanding.

Lecture-demonstration by another instructor(s)

from a special field (guest speaker)
Lecture-demonstration by another instructor(s) from a

its an opportunity for students to interact with

unfamiliar people and get comfortable talking to
other adults

special field (guest speaker) in your classroom is probably

better than when the TV on wheels rolled into your
classroom. Theyre new, fresh, and hopefully engaging.
Many teachers bring in guest speakers to illustrate points in
their lesson plans, and give students a break, but I believe
guest speakers have the power to do so much more. Here
are some reasons you should invite more guest speakers
into your classroom:

Learning new, interesting things is part of education, and

guest speakers are often overlooked as one of the
better sources.
It supports subjects teacher may not know a lot about
Give professionals a chance to connect with students

(Muhammed

Benli) Tip 2:

Laboratory experiments performed by more than two

students working together:
The laboratory is an exciting place where students
investigate, analyze, and reflect. They test and apply
theories and make abstract concepts concrete. Laboratory
classes provide students with first-hand experience with
course concepts and with the opportunity to explore
methods used by scientists in their discipline. Leading a
laboratory session has particular opportunities that differ
from those in a standard classroom environment.
it helps students understand theory by observing and
verifying concepts
to have them go through research and design processes
to help them improve their powers of reasoning by
manipulating cause-and-effect relationships
to acquaint them with essential equipment

(Murat Konac) Tip 1: Using Social Media in

Classroom
Social media has become an ingrained part of todays society. There
are many criticisms using social media in classroom. But, if you want
to bring the real world into the classroom, teacher should consider
integrating social media into your lessons. There are so many tips of
using social media in classroom. I will share some of them:

Student can use Twitter format write main points of the class as
an exit ticket.

Teacher can create survey on Twitter get immediate feedback

from students.

Teacher can use Edmodo to create quiz or assignment. It allows

students to get real-time feedback by taking quizzes online.

You don't even have to bring the most popular social media sites
into your classroom. You can use Fakebook or FakeTweet as
students work on this form of conversation. Edublogs, Kidblog,
Edmodo, and more will let you use social media competencies

(Murat

Konac) Tip 2: Probable Passage

Probable passage reinforce students knowledge and understanding by using key vocabulary, predictions
and writing. Also, this activity activates students prior knowledge and builds active thinking about a topic.
Teacher gives students key terms about the lesson. Students will organize the key terms and look
relationship. After, students will write 5 sentences probable passage. Each sentences should include more
than one term per sentence. After students are done they will share and make corrections as a whole
classroom.

(Mustafa Yazici) Tip 1: Real Life Application

Younger students have tendency to pay
more attention to learning subjects if they
are tailored to real life examples which more
likely raise wonders in their minds.
Especially elementary kids are still exploring
world anything related to their daily life has
more attractive than any other things.
Foremost are that applications of
theoretical material in real-life situations
make content easier to understand, and
that the relevance of content is
demonstrated by real-life examples.(Theall,
2012)

(Mustafa Yazici) Tip 2: Come to class prepared

Preparation is a must in education that
requires teachers to know advance
who the students are including their
ethnic background, their level of
knowledge, their interests and having
incorporated technology, real-life
applications, methods of checking for
understanding, tailored classwork and
assignments based on the average of
the students with enrichment lesson
plans for excelling students.
Planning is essential for a good
lecture. Lecture must be well crafted
to be clear and persuasive.
