Summary for Captain

Nobody Chapter 24

The victory parade is held two days later. It is a special one because for
the first time, the Fillmore High School band is joined by Merrimacs
marching band. Newts, Cecil, JJ, and Ferocious the Ferret ride in a
convertible followed by Chis and his teammates including Darryl. On
stages, Chris received the championship trophy for his team. JJ gets a
pair of diamond earrings from the Sullivans while Cecil is given a set of
drums and a year of lessons by the pilot and the passengers. The mayor
presents Newts a special golden key (made by Mr.Clay), the Key to the
City from the citizens of Appleton for saving many lives. After the
celebration, Newts return home to a normal routine. Newts is now as
popular as his brother, Chris. Chris tells Newts about an incident during
the parade. A little old lady from outside town claims that she did not
know that Newton Newman has an older brother. That has made them
laugh heartily. They high-five each other and go to bed content.
