Standard 6

During university tasks and professional experiences I was able to develop


professional learning goals for myself. I have identified specific and successful
achievements from my first practicum and I have also identified SMART goals for
future practices to improve and enhance my teaching and learning experiences. I
was also able to attend professional meetings to learn about professional
development and how teachers are able to continually improve their teaching
practices (6.2).This enabled me to understand the role of the Australian
Professional Standards for Teachers in identifying my personal learning
requirements (6.1). I was pleased to collaborate with and share ideas with fellow
colleagues to gain greater understandings and knowledge which enabled me to
improve my own teaching practice (6.3). This allowed me to successfully and
positively engage with professionals to enhance my own professional learning
and teaching practices and improve student learning (6.4).
