Tournament Rules
+++A Note+++
This pack hasnt been written by a lawyer. There might be points of ambiguity. If you find
one please just ask; some things may not have been thought of.
40k is a huge game, with lots of different options that can be brought into play. Hopefully you
embrace this as we do; variety and richness of armies and rulesets only serves the game.
With that in mind we are faced with the challenge of bringing together a tournament ruleset
that provides the most competitive of the All-Scars formats. And this is a difficult
challenge, not least because so many of the decisions rest perilously close to subjectivity and
opinion.
The committee have debated endlessly, sought the opinions of members, read through the
rulesets of countless other tournaments, and risked life and limb by getting together to debate
in person (it was like a game of D&D where everyone is the DM and there are no dice).
There have been some big calls made and if your personal preference has been aborted into
the depths of the warp we can only apologise. Please remember this is only one tournament
within our calendar, and that this is the strictest event we do. Everybody wants gravy, except
the folk who dont.
This pack only contains basic rules information. Further information about attendance,
forfeits, and probably a load of other stuff will be released separately as necessary.
And of course it is all a fix. We have nothing better to do.
+++Force Composition+++
2,000 points
Battleforged only
1 x CAD
CAD must adhere to the BRB force organisation chart CAD
No Allies
No Formations
No Gargantuan Creatures

No Super heavy Vehicles


No Fortifications with AV15 or void shields
FW models/units are allowed, so long as they are not Experimental Rules.
FW army lists are not allowed
+++Weird armies that cant fulfil the standard CAD+++
We dont want to rule any forces out, so armies that cannot be constructed using the standard
CAD will be handled differently.
Armies that do not have required units to fulfil slots will use a modified CAD (for example,
Inquisition have only HQ and elite. Their CAD minimum would be 1 x HQ and 2 x Elite to
replace the 1 x HQ and 2 x Troops of the standard CAD).
We are not doing anything complicated here please contact Edd Quick via PM if you intend
to play one of these strange armies, and we will sort out the details with the committee, and
then release the specifics for the wider membership. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH ASAP.
Adeptus Mechanicus and Skiitari will be treated as a single codex Cult Mechanicus. (you
can literally buy box sets that contain units from both, so fuck it)
+++List Changes+++
There will be no automatic list changes. In theory, your list will remain the same throughout
the tournament.
If there is a new codex release* that effects an army in play then ALL players will have the
opportunity to change their list. Details will be released as/when necessary around this.
*with so many different types of release, we will be making a call on a case-by-case basis as
to whether a list change is necessary.
+++Missions+++
We will be playing maelstrom missions from the BRB.

Round 5 Mission 5
Only the standard tactical card deck may be used.

+++The League and Scoring+++


The first round will be paired randomly (during a live* televised event sponsored this year
by Slaanesh)
Subsequent rounds will use the Swiss system.
League points will be awarded as follows:
Win 3 points
Draw 2 points
Loss 1 point.
*recorded and posted.
+++List submission+++
Lists must be composed on Battlescribe. The app is free and works on most formats. Where
necessary, help will be available converting lists to battlescribe prior to the submission
deadline. This will be handled on an individual and case-by-case basis. The deadline for lists
will be released separately.
+++Awards+++
Awards will be available for 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and there will be a multitude of
further awards at each event. Further information about prize support and prize categories
will be released separately.
+++Rules Alterations+++
The 6 result when rolling to wound using a D-weapon will inflict 2d3 damage instead of
1d6+6.
Invisibility will make the attacker use BS1 instead of snap shots (as is pretty much standard
now)
Addition: A re-rollable 2++ only saves on a 4+ on the re-roll regardless of circumstances.
