Needed Supplies: It will be necessary to have a designated space for just this course. A 2 3-ring
binder is recommended. One college ruled composition notebook will be necessary for lab work.
Internet access throughout the semester will be important for some of the course work. If internet
access is not available, please come to me and we can work something out.
Attendance: It will be difficult to make up missed lectures and lab work. Being physically
present and actively participating in the course is crucial to student success. If class needs to be
missed, please get notes or lab data from a peer before coming to me with questions. That being
said, if you have questions or concerns, please feel free to ask. Make up work will be due by the
number of days the student was absent. Tardiness will not be tolerated. After the first there will
be a verbal warning, after the second there will be a written warning, and after the third there will
be a phone call home and school administration may be involved.
Grading: Late work will only be accepted under pre-arranged instances and emergencies. To
receive credit on an assignment, work needs to be submitted by the due date. Assignments
received when the student has an unexcused absent will not receive credit.
Grade Scale:
A = 90-100
C = 70-79
