1. (10 points) Model the Swivel Stop shown below in NX 9. Dimension your model. Submit
appropriate screenshots of the model. Additionally, show screenshots identifying parent child
relationships for each feature in your model.

2. (3 points) How do we change the size of 2D geometry in the 2D sketcher mode? By using rapid
Dimensioning.
3. (3 points) What is the main difference between a CUT feature and a Hole feature in NX?
With the cut feature we have to create an additional piece of geometry in order to make a
subtraction by means on Boolean, the same is evident with the UNITE feature as well.
Although Unite can be done separately in its on respect. With the Hole feature, we simply
designate the surface/body in which the hole should be cut, and begin plugging in the
dimensions of the hole itself.
4. (4 points) Does NX allow us to build partially constrained or totally unconstrained solid models?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of building these types of models? They must be
partially constrained. The Advantage is it changes the geometry we are able to create. Hollowed
images, and more complex as such. The ideal of constrained is still apparent in regards to the fact
that we must Partially close the shape before we extrude, (in other words leaving one side open
so to speak). Which will still extrude, it will just cause the geometry to take on different shapes.
