Teacher will draw the letter V on the board and have students name the letter we are
learning this week. Make the letter V with your finger in the air. Children will sing Song o
Sounds song and use hand motion.
Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)
The student teacher will work with the students to make a volcano by giving them an
example how they can do it using the colored papers, glue, painting colors and the
brushes.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)


The student teacher will give worksheets to a group about a maze, Student teacher will
tell the students the instructions (They should find the letter V and make a line to get
out of the maze using pencil).

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)


The student teacher will give worksheets to a group about matching, Student teacher
will tell the students the instructions (They should match and make a line of letter V to
the words that beigns with V using pencil).

The student teacher will give worksheets to a group about pictures and words, Student
teacher will tell the students the instructions (They should circle the word that has the V
sound using pencil).

Closing
Letter V bubble and writing letter V. Teacher will write the letter V on the board and hav
students come up and write the letter V. Higher level students will write letter V words
and draw the picture.
