Justifying an Evaluation Presentation Rubric

Presentation:
Organization- 15
To receive all 15 points for organization the writer has a subtle but identifiable introduction, body
content, conclusion, and transition statements/ slides. (These can and usually will be spoken and not
appear on the presentation.)
Practiced Delivery- 15
What it sounds like: if you practice it will show. To receive full credit for this section the
writer/presenter will present authoritatively with only a cursory reliance on notecards or reading off the
screen.
Entertaining- 10
An entertaining presentation doesnt mean youre cracking jokes, but you can! To receive full
credit for entertainment the presenter will include color, movement, and audience awareness in their
presentation.
Layout/ Aesthetics- 10
Look at your screen is it crowded? Is it sparse? Is it ugly? Is it BEAUTIFUL!? Be aware of
what your presentation looks like and incorporate your template into your added material.

Justifying an Evaluation:
Well-Presented Subject- 15
To receive all 15 points for presenting a problem the writer has clearly, thoughtfully
defined the subject in the context of their evaluation.
Well-Explained Judgment- 25
To receive all 25 points for a well-explained judgment the presenter has clearly, thoughtfully
defined their evaluation and given ample evidence to support their conclusion.
Answering Objections- 5
To receive all 5 points for answering objections the writer has clearly, respectfully acknowledged
and persuasively refuted objections.
MLA- 5
To receive all 5 points in the MLA category the presenter has correctly formatted their Works
Cited. Additionally, the reader has used citation responsibly to give intellectual property
credit to judiciously affected sources.
