Dear Parents/Guardian,
Excursion to the Western Australian Museum Shipwreck
Galleries

We are writing to inform you that we intend to take the students in Year 1
to the Western Australian Museum Shipwreck Galleries in Fremantle on
(Date). As a part of the curriculum this term, students will be learning
about Now and Then. Focusing on the present and past family life.
What better way to deepen their understanding and knowledge than to
allow them to partake in this experience the museum has to offer.
A carefully planned itinerary will allow the children to become involved in
many hands on experiences as well as engage in a range of activities
related to this topic.
Children will have the opportunity to handle a range of old fashioned
household, teaching and play items.
We will depart for school at 9:00am by bus and we will return to the school
by bust at 2:15pm.
Students will need to wear full school uniform. Please ensure children
wear enclosed shoes and bring along their school hat as well as their
school bag.
We require two parent helpers to accompany us on this excursion. If you
are available to help on this date please sign your name below. We will
notify you closer to the excursion date whether we require your help.
Please ensure children come along to the excursion with a full packed
lunch including morning tea and a water bottle. As there are no food
facilities for students to buy food from throughout the day.
Please complete and sign the attached permission slip and return to the
Year 1 classroom before the (Date). Thank you.
