g. Select 5 of the most important examples from list e and f and type a
paragraph (single-spaced) for each telling why they are so expressive
of the big idea you selected.
i. Wall-E This movie is an important example of
environmental health because it shows the effects of not
taking care of the earth. The earth becomes a wasteland
and uninhabitable to the point that people are forced to
live in outer space to survive. This movie reminds viewers
of the value of the environment and life on earth and
encourages them to not take it for granted.
ii. Gregory, the Terrible Eater by Mitchell Sharmat This book
is an important example of physical health as it

emphasizes the importance of eating balanced meals. If

not properly educated on physical health and eating in a
healthy manner, kids can tend to gravitate towards junk
food. This book not only teaches about balanced meals but
also teaches kids about being more open-minded about
eating healthy foods in general instead of being picky
eaters.
iii. A Tundra Tale by Lone Alaskan Gypsy This book is an
important example of mental health because it gives an
interesting perspective on schizophrenia in a way that
takes away the stigmas associated with mental health and
mental illnesses. Through its use of Native American
folklore, it also references spirituality and religion, which
can be a part of some peoples mental health.
iv. Bad Day by Daniel Powter This song is an important
example of emotional health because it comments on not
allowing your negative emotions get the best of you. The
song provides a realistic outlook that everyone will have a
bad day once in awhile, but it encourages people to keep
going and to keep looking forward because it will
eventually get better. This bad day will come to pass, and
there are brighter days ahead.

v. Remember the Titans This movie is an important example

of social health because it showcases the deep significance
and power of friendship. This movie in particular
emphasizes that friendship is not dependent upon race,
but its implications extend beyond that to other areas such
as economic status, religion, and culture.
