The Lion King begins with a young lion prince, Simba, who is next in line to be king of
The Pridelands. His evil uncle, Scar, prepares a devious plan to become the next king. He tells
his nephew to go to the Elephant Graveyard even though his father told him to never go there.
When Simba disobeys and goes anyway a series of events cause for his father, Mufasa, to go
rescue him. In the attempt he is killed by his brother, Scar, who then frames Simba. Simba is
banished and saved by two outsiders, a meerkat named Timon and a warthog named Pumbaa
who then raise him. When grown he is found by a childhood friend, Nala, who tells him that Scar
has been reeking havoc as king. With help from his friends Simba is able to defeat Scar, avenge
his father, clear his name, and become the rightful king of the Pridelands. The story ends with
him and Nala having a child of their own and being presented to The Pridelands just as Simba
was at the beginning of the film.
