The Lion King
The lion king that was played by the Pamantasan ng lungsod ng Muntinlupa,
BSED English Major Students was originally produced by Walt Disney a 32 nd Disney
animated feature film and the 5th animated film produced during a period known as the
Disney Renaissance. It tells the story of the young lion cub Simba and his journey to
fulfill his destiny by taking over his place in Circle of life as the rightful King of the jungle.

After anointed as the next king of the jungle, young lion cub Simba is every bit as
eager to take his proud father Mufasa’s place as the king. However, this makes his
villainous uncle Scar jealous of him. But when Mufasa is suddenly murdered by Scar
and put the blame on Simba and he also feels responsiblle for his father’s death, he run
away from home. Meeting with two outcast Timon and Pumbaa, Simba embraces their
way of ‘Hakuna Matata’. Years later, approached by his childhood friend Nala and the
wise baboon Rafiki, Simba must return home to stop Scar’s evil reign and fulfill his
destiny as the new king of the jungle.

In my own opinion the play was successful aside for some technical problem
about the actor’s microphone and the actor of Mufasa’s character. The technical
problem about the actors microphone is understandable for the main characters needs
to move across the whole set to fulfill their role but because of this it is pretty hard to
understand some important line of the actors. The actor that played the character of
Mufasa is actually really good, the pronunciation and the emotions was there. However,
loudness of his voice that is necessarily in a play was lacking, and the microphone
didn’t actually help because of technical problem.

Aside from this two problem nothings is really unpleasant in the play, I really
hoped that even it is the last day and play the technical problem was taken care but
maybe the microphones that was hanging did a great job to help the actors every time
their mic is not cooperating to make their voices still hearable.

All in all everyone behind this play really did a great job the actors, staffs and
voice over is really wonderful.
