A look at our Week!

We added three new words this week (four, soon, give).
We are almost done with our words! I will be sending
home a final list of all of the words we have learned this
year as we get closer to the end of the year. Now we
should be able to read the following words: the, a, see,
look, I on, what, happy, away, cat, is, my, big, little, we,
very, want, and, this, can, here, for, like, are, to, too, put,
you, come, dad, she, want, with, do, down, said, play, have,
been, of, they, were, has, does, from, any, there, was, who,
good, into, your, saw, find, now, our, her, as, his, under,
many, one, yellow, about, two, funny, some, three, pretty,
other, four, soon, give. Please be practicing the words in
your childs baggie. I am so impressed with how well they
are doing!

Looking ahead
We will talk about habitats and zoo animals to end
our school year!

The chicks came to visit us this week! We worked really

hard all day on Tuesday and in the afternoon, they came
to visit! It was so much fun. They walked around on our
carpet for a little bit and then we each got to pet them.
They have now gone to a farm where they have a lot of
room to grow and roam! Even though we were sad about
the chicks leaving, we did get another surprise this
weekcaterpillars! The Robin room is now home to 5
caterpillars who are busily eating and growing in their
containers as we patiently wait for them to form their
chrysalises and turn into butterflies. Once they turn into
butterflies, we will release them!
Weve started talking about different habitats
throughout the world this week. We will continue to talk
about them next week and then move on to our zoo
animal unit! As we learn about each habitat, we are
doing a little writing in a habitat book and also creating
habitat crowns. These crowns are filled with a few
animals that can be found in that habitat along with the
name. We hope you enjoy seeing our hard work each
day!
