I.
Introduction
Beinginvolvedwithsportsissomethingalmosteverypersonhascometoknow.
Whetherifitisplaying,watching,coaching,ortalkingaboutthesport.Lacrosseisoneofthose
sportsthatisprettycooltowatchandplaybutisntreallydominant,especiallyatthisschool.
Majorityofmylife,lacrossewaspresent.Ineverofficiallyplayedbutwatchedmyfamilyplay
foryearsonteams.Atfamilygatherings,thesticksalwayscameout.Onnicedays,mybrothers
andIwouldgoplayalittleoneononegameorsimplytossingaround,attemptingtrickshots
andhandles.Thispastsummer,Iwasgiventheopportunitytoperformintheopeningceremony
attheFILWorldLacrosseChampionshipandmetoverhalfoftheteams.
Thisexperienceandpreviousmomentshasmademewanttoknowmoreaboutlacrosse.I
wanttolearnaboutsomeofthemoretechnicalfeatureslikerules,positionsandtermstothe
conceptaspectsofthegamelikeorigin,organization,andtheteamfacet.
ForthispassageIwashopingtoorganizeaoneday5on5lacrossetournamentforthe
community.ThereisntalimitonhowmanyteamscanplaybutIbelieveIwouldneedaround
fourtosixteams.Inthebeginningofthedayofthetournament,Iwantedtobringinafewofthe
playersthatwentandplayedattheFILWorldLacrosseChampionshipandwouldlikethemto
holdaclinicofsortsforpeoplewhoarenotnecessarilytotallyeducatedinplayingandcanteach
them.Alsowiththoseplayers,Iwouldlikeforthemtospeakaboutmeetingalltheplayersfrom
thediverseteamsatthesummerevent.Throughoutthedayofthetournament,therewill
hopefullybesmallboothswithminigamesforthespectatorstoplayorchildrentoenjoyonthe
sideofthefield.InadditiontotheculturalexperiencefromtheWorldLacrosseChampionshipof
theplayers,therewillbeaminiaturehistorylessonontheoriginofthesport.

InvestigatetheWorld:
throughtheentireprocessfromthestartofcreatingandschedulingtothefinishofactually
holdingtheevent,
Iwillbegainingthebackgroundandskillsnecessarytohaveaglobalimpact
inthefuture.Iwillbeusinginternationalandinterculturalresourcesandassistance.Inlearning
aboutallthethingsinlacrosseandhearingfromplayersofdiversecultures,Iwillbeaddressing
InvestigatingtheWorld.
TakingAction:
Throughoutplanningandexecutingtheevent,Iwill
knowandevaluatemyoptionsandplanactionsbasedonsuggestionsthatindicatethepotential
forimpactwhilealsotakingintoaccountpreviousapproachesandattempts,thevaried
perspectives,and/orpotentialconsequences.FurthermorewithTakingAction,onthedayofthe
eventIwillreallyneedtohavetostayincontrolandontrackforthingstogosmoothly.Ifthere

Ideas:
Inorganizingthisevent,Iwillneedtobuildonbeingabletocommunicateideasand
takingactionofstayingontrackwithplanningandcollaboratingwithothers.Bynetworkingand
speakingwithdifferentpeople,Iwillestablishandrecognizewhatpeopleexpectandwhatthey
thinkaboutit.Iwillacknowledgeandunderstandtheexpectationsofmyaudience,participants,
andcollaborators.Thesedomainswillenhancemysocialskillsanddevelopabilityofgoing
beyondmynormals.
V.DocumentationandFinalProduct

Mydocumentationwillmostlikelybeinmultipleformsofemails,journalingof
interactionsandexperiences,andtranscriptofinterviewsandlearningopportunities.Myfinal
productofcompletionwillofcoursebemycommunityevent.Alongwiththat,Iwouldliketo
takeandkeepphotosandvideosofthelacrosseevent.
AttheendIwillcollaborateallofthe
videosandphotosintoavideopresentationandpresentthiswhileIampresentingmy
ExperientialPassagejourneytomypassagesclassand/orothercommunitygroups.
VI.AnticipatedChallenges
Overall,thecompletiondatesofmyPassagearestillveryuncleartome.Thus,themain
challengeIanticipateonencounteringistimemanagement.AnotherchallengeIbelieveIwill
encounterwillbecommunicationandnetworking.Iamapersonthatchoosesnottotalkand
unfortunatelythathasbeenhardtogetthingsaccomplished.Majorityofthechallengeswillalso
bewithmakingitallcometogetherwithlocation,date,approximateattendance,havingthe
playerscome,andthesmallactivities.Ibelievethatkeepingeverythingflowinganduptodate
onmyschedulewhilekeepinginconstantcommunicationwithallpeopleinvolved.
TherearemanyworriesIhaveforthisactivity,butIwilltakeallchallengesandsolve
them.Iwillcompletethisactivitynomatterwhatthechallengesmaybe.
