To Whom It May Concern:

It is my honor to recommend to you Phoebe Gonzales, an intelligent, forthright young woman of
passion. During the time that I have known her, Phoebe has proven herself time and again to be a
determined worker with a strong appreciation for a job well done. Phoebe will no doubt be a
highly-prized asset to you as she continually strives for excellence in all she does.
It was my privilege to have Phoebe in English class during her freshman year of high school, and
it has been a joy to watch her grow in maturity and insight in the years since. Throughout her
time in high school, she has consistently been an avid reader. Her desire to expand her
understanding of the world has led her through a wide breadth and depth of reading that is
evident in both her written and verbal expression, often demonstrating keen insight and sharp
wit. Phoebes thorough command of the English language and zero tolerance policy for lowquality work has made her stand out among her peers.
Phoebes passionate work ethic also carries well beyond the bounds of the classroom. In addition
to class work and her own ever-expanding reading list, she has been actively involved in
extracurricular activities such as marching band, JROTC, and many others. Phoebe has been an
invaluable member of these organizations, proving herself time and again through high standards
and exceptional performance. As she has balanced these challenging responsibilities and
academic pursuits, Phoebes persistent dedication and no-nonsense approach have earned her the
esteem of peers and supervisors alike.
Given her exemplary record as scholar, performer, and leader, I am certain Phoebe will continue
striving for the best in every area of her life. She is an exceptional person, someone I have been
proud to call my student and one that you will no doubt value and admire.
