This source helped us understand how the first civil war ended. We were able to see what
terms the war was ended on. We used this source to show our viewers exactly the terms

From this image we learned how Sudanese children spent their time playing before the
war. This image was useful because it showed how the Lost Boys life before the war was

Moses Ajou, a Lost Boy, was a great help to our Project. This interview gave us the
chance to talk with one of the Lost Boys of Sudan in person. In the Interview we
specifically Moses Ajou specifically gave us information about life in South Sudan,
escape from northern militants, and transitioning into the United States. This was useful
in our website because it shows a real account of what happened rather than other
watered down sources.

This image helped us get another visual image of the Kakuma Refugee Camp. It taught us
the expansiveness of the migrating refugees and how overfilled the camps were. This
image can be found on the Banner on the "Home" page.

This is "The Refugee act of 1980". This helped us understand what measures were taken
in the United States before the second Sudanese civil war to help refugees. We were then
able to compare it to today's policies on refugees. This source can be found on the

A painting that gave us another visual image and showed how the Lost Boys had to cross
rivers with crocodiles and other animals trying to kill them.
This taught us that the genocide was so widespread and well known that artists took notice

This is an image of a Lost Boy carrying his brother. It shows how many young kids were
also forced to leave their homes. This taught us how dependent the boys were on each

each other. We had no idea the bond was so strong. We used this image to show our

This book gave us valuable insight on the entire journey of the Lost Boys. Three boys
share their different experiences in graphic detail. It made us understand the amount of
willpower and strength the boys must have needed to endure such an ordeal. It was a
great source to show our viewers just how difficult their ordeal was without any
information withheld from the book.

opportunity to speak to another one of the Lost Boys of Sudan. His Interview gave us
insight on his experience as a refugee specifically on his journey to the refugee camps
and the hardships he faced along the way. He also told us about his reaction to American
wastefulness. It was extremely useful to have an interview that was raw and untampered
with.
