Guitar Solo: (speaking voice)- The following day, Hamilton died from a bullet wound in his
vertebrae that had shattered his ribs and dealt damage to his organs. Burr was charged with
murder in New York and New Jersey, but neither charge reached trial. He was later indicted for
murder, but the New Jersey Supreme Court threw out the case. Burr felt some guilt for
Hamiltons death, but still felt just for the result of the duel.
