TASK 1_Monologue: Talk about the things you normally spend money on and how you use money. Are you
careful with money? What is the next big thing you are going to buy? Do you think credit cards are a good thing?

TASK 2_Dialogue

TOPIC: MONEY/SHOPPING

ROLE A
Your friends bought you a pair of red shoes for your birthday but they dont fit. You go to the shop to
exchange them for a different pair. You also need some matching clothes for an interview you have
soon. Explain to the shop assistant what you are exactly looking for and give him/her your opinion
about his/her suggestions. You dont have much money to spend.
These phrases/expressions may come in handy:

A client would like to return a pair of shoes and you have to assist him/her. Explain to him/her the shop
policy on exchanges and refunds and tell her about the offers you have at the moment. Your client also
needs clothes for an important event so you make him/her different proposals. You want to sell some
expensive items which are left from last year.
These phrases/expressions may come in handy:
