Summary

The 1990s was decade that I would consider very calm not many impacting
events happened. I would consider it a calmer decade than others. I think it could
be a decade where more technology started getting discovered. The Gulf War
occurred during this decade, it began August 2 nd, 1990-February 28th, 1991. The
combatants during the Gulf War were Iraq, USA, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia,
France, Australia, and Argentina. The worldwide web goes publicly gaining massive
popularity worldwide. Dolly the sheep is the 1 st mammal cloned from adult. The cold
war officially ended as USSR dissolves. It could be considered also a disasterous
year. The gulf war was going on and many know that when there is war there is
death. Another disastrous event could be considered in 1999 when 2 teenage
students murder 13 other students and teachers at columbine high school,
considered the deadliest mass murder at a high school in us history. For my travel
brochure I named 4 states and a natural landmark and town for each one. In my
tour I went from west to east starting at California and ending at North Carolina. For
each state and its historical importance I named important past events that
occurred that created an impact in the US. I think that for my historic event it was
good to mention events from the civil rights movement act. I really like what I have
learned from this topic. In my lyrical representation I have named events that I have
felt were important events during the 1990s like current events. Events I chose are
mostly the ones that I have named at the beginning of my summary. I honestly
dont think that my political carton is that good I believe that I could have done
better but I dont really know much about the Gulf war that I remember so I just
drew what I thought was good which is not that good. For m political cartoon I drew
both the Iraq flag and the Kuwait flag, in between the 2 flags is a stop sign but it is
covered in the US flag. This symbolizes how Iraq is trying to get to Kuwait since Iraq
invaded Kuwait and the US is trying to help Kuwait and stop Iraq .I also believe that
my Weebly page could have been better in the whole theme and designing it. I think
I could have used a different layout better but this is my first time using weebly so
hopefully I have learned from the mistakes I have did when I made my weebly. Even
though I am new to weebly I still believe that it is a good sight that many could use
and even though I made some mistakes I believe that it is easier to use then other
websites I have used. Even though I know this maybe our last project for 8 th grade
social studies I wish we could have another one to just try other stuff out on weebly,
but hopefully we can use weebly again in high school. I really enjoyed doing this
project though because I learned some new stuff.
