To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of
endorsement for Ms. Wendy Kanter. I have had the pleasure of
working as a Co-Coordinator with Ms. Kanter in our schools Bridges
Over Howard County-21st Century Community Learning Center
Program at Swansfield Elementary School. Our program serves to
provide academic and enriching activities to at risk and identified
students in our school that would benefit from cultural and academic
experience.
Ms. Kanters leadership skills continued to evolve and we
worked collaboratively with staff to design a program that was a safe
and caring learning environment built on mutual respect.
I was moved by her immense concern and compassion for the
students in the program to encourage them to operate at a better
educational and behavioral level. When there were inconsistencies
with program management, scheduling, and daily program routines,
Ms. Kanter reflected on feedback from program administrators,
administration, staff and students to make improvements. She
invited and encouraged stakeholders to have a voice in decision
making. Her concern for our students is sincere and refreshing, and
her reflective nature is highly commendable.
As an emerging leader, Ms. Kanter enjoys learning and
exploring new ideas. She attended staff development workshops and
was informed on issues relating to educational trends and
professional growth and development. Ms. Kanter will be an asset to
any school district.
