Senseless
It always starts with a little smile.
That first impression pulls you near his trap,
But you cant see behind his mask of guile,
And decide to get his number ASAP.
When the first date comes he seems so gentle,
So kind, but its all too good to be true.
He says that you saved him, that youre his angel,
And that all he can think about is you.
As days turn to weeks and weeks turn to months,
You find out that he is keeping secrets.
You tell yourself that its only happened once,
And that he still finds joy in your visits.
Then a week later he tells you the news
And leaves you alone with a daft excuse.
