practical experience of industrial environment & make them industry ready. This will enable the
student to
stay ahead among others throughout the entire career.
This 6 months industrial project program is specially designed for final year engineering and
professional students who are looking for hands on industrial project from companies. They will
get
opportunities
for
designing/fabrication
implementation/testing
real-life
projects/process/product/services.

2. Duration and Schedule:

Practical project for engineering students is of six months.
3. Internship confirmation:
On completion of the internship, the trainee receives a confirmation from the company stating
the length of the project in various work areas and any days of absence from the company due to
sickness or vacation. The internship confirmation must be issued by the internship company.
Confirmations from employment agencies cannot be accepted.
4. Project Monitoring:
Six month industrial project will be monitored by the Industry Mentor with consultation of the
Faculty Mentor. This monitoring activity will be spread over one semester i.e. 8th semester. The
evaluation of the project will be based on the report submitted by the student after the mid
semester evaluation and interaction with the Industry Mentor (supervisor) of the student in the
industry. Format for industry evaluation is shown at appendix A.
Guidelines during project:
All students are advised to be sincere and punctual during the project period.

They should be cooperative at the project place & willing to learn.

Any complaint if reported by the industry will be seriously dealt with.
All students are to ensure that their confirmation letters have been received at CRC office.
If someones confirmation letter has not been sent then they should ask their Industry
Mentor (supervisor) to do the needful.

Students may discuss & get project assigned by industry mentor. In addition the faculty
mentor will provide 2-3 project titles to the student from which he/she selects any one.

All students will have to submit the synopsis and objectives of the chosen project within the
first month of their project.

The students pursuing industrial project in Delhi (NCR) would meet respective Faculty
Mentor every fortnightly (14 days).

The students pursuing industrial project outside Delhi (NCR) would meet respective
Faculty Mentor twice a semester and he/she would be given 15 days prior notice. Student
may interact with faculty through teleconferencing /Skype/videoconferencing.

At the end of the industrial project the Supervisor (from concerned industry) is to submit the
evaluation report in the sealed envelope to the CRC office immediately.
Project report layout, evaluation & marks distribution is given as per appendix B.
All Students should come prepared with the power-point presentation regarding their industrial
project which will be most probably in the first week of June. All Students will be asked to
submit the power-point presentation on a CD along with the two hard bond copies of project
report on the day of presentation.
For End term Evaluation/viva-voce by expert panel, students are required to remain in contact
with their respective Faculty Mentor.
