108,000 people. 8ooo of them which are actually citizens and the other 100,000 slaves! thats crazy
All in all sparta would my choice over athens because of the
fighting spirit and theyre respect they have not only for women but for the warriors as well

included artisans, craftmans, merchants; they could not vote or serve in the army; foregners could be this class Helots (serfs descended from those peoples who had resisted subjugation by sparta and who were constantly rebelling. they were treated like slaves and gave of their produce to the spartiate citizens who owned the land Women had more rights and were more idependent in sparta then anywhere else in greece
The assembly of all spartan males aged 30 or over
could support or veto the councils recommendations by shouting out their votes.
Spartan mothers would say to their sons either come
back with your shield or on it which meant come back victorious or die fighting
