The Quran (Islamic Holy Book) defines the characteristics of an ideal morality and how
Muslims should behave accordingly. As Muslims say, Allah is perfect and His knowledge is
absolute, therefore, his words are not allowed to be changed, questioned or challenged
(Rafizadeh). This suppresses a Muslims freedom of thought and speech. This way, freedom
of thought and individual judgment is suppressed by the Quran, and Muslims do not have
the right to interpret the Quran in a way which resonates with their personal morals and
values (Rafizadeh). This obligates Muslims to accept and execute the Quranic rules and

Islamic countries strictly enforce Sharia Law (laws based on the Quranic
verses). Sharia Law is something that Muslims can neither deny nor
ignore, as Muslims are obligated remain loyal to Islam ( Wellen, 2016). The
concept of democracy is new and Westernized to Muslims as Sharia Law
does not agree with some aspects of democracy (Wellen, 2016). Therefore,
many Muslims disagree with having a democratic government, which
causes them to revert back to enforcing Sharia Law in Islamic countries.

Having recently returned from Egypt and Saudi Arabia, thirty year-old Edward Archer shoots
Philadelphia police officer Jesse Hartnett thirteen times (Makela). Archer had recently returned
from Islamic countries where Sharia Law is most prominent (Makela). Islamic extremists that
enforce Sharia Law (Laws based on Quranic verses) encourage Muslims to fight and declare war
with infidels or nonbelievers (Rafizadeh). Upon taken into custody, the assailant referenced
Islamic State militants and confessed to committing the act in the name of Islam (Makela).
Philadelphia police added, He said he pledges his allegiance to Islamic State, he follows Allah

Muslim cleric Mahmoud al-Masri publicly tells the story of a Muslim mislead and deceived a Jewish
man into converting to Islam, and glorifies the act by calling it a beautiful trick (Ibrahim).
Although lying is forbidden in Islam, the Quran states that lying in the service of altruism is
permissible (Ibrahim). Despite the unfairness of this act, al-Masri legitimizes the act by using
Quranic verses to justify the actions of the deceiving Muslim. What al-Masri believes to be a good
thing, is not necessarily good for the Jewish man. al-Masri fails to differentiate between personal
gain and the public good, and thereforeclaim , encourages injustice by saying that this act was

On a hot day in Raqqa, Syria, women wearing full length niqabs walk past a billboard that
states a verse from the Quran which urges women to wear hijab and conceal their
feminine figures (el-Husseini). A group of Islamic extremists known as ISIS strictly impose
restrictions on women in Syria, in order prevent women from sexually arousing men other
than their husbands (el-Husseini). Under restrictions set by ISIS, women in Syria must
either wear the full length niqab in public or face punishments in public (el-Husseini).
Although the laws are unfair, women are obligated to obey the enforced laws out of fear

A religious teacher named Farkhunda was stoned and beaten to death by a group of men after
she was falsely accused of burning the Quran (Kaplan). Although Farkhunda attempted to argue
that she had not burned the Quran, the group of men continued to beat her to death (Kaplan).
Farkhunda eventually bled to death (Kaplan). By accusing Farkhunda of burning the Quran, she
was deemed infidel and was killed based on punishments outlined by Sharia Law for apostates
(Kaplan).

In Afghanistan, many Mullahs feed illiterate boys anti-Western and anti-Afghan government propaganda
until
the boys are prepared to kill infidels in the name of Islam (Farmer). In Kandahar, Afghanistan, thirteen yearold Abdul Samat was blindfolded and strapped to a bomb vest after being picked up from a roadside in
Pakistan (Farmer). Minutes before executing the attack, Samat began screaming for help, upon realizing that
his recruiters were seeking to turn him into a human bomb (Farmer). After Afghan security officials deactivated
the boys explosive payload, Samat revealed that the Mullahs handed him an amulet containing Quranic
verses, which would supposively protect him. Samat was told, When this explodes you will survive and God

In Tabqa, Syria, a young Syrian woman named Shamseh Abdullah is stoned to death after
being accused of having sex outside of marriage. In Islamic countries, Sharia Law decrees
stoning as the punishment for men and women who commit adultery or sex outside of
marriage (Mroue). The Quran mentions that the caliph Umar, one of the Prophet
Muhammads closest companions maintained the punishment of stoning for adultery
(Mroue). Islamic State fighters in Syria take advantage of this, and appoint jihadi fighters
(mostly foreign extremists) to execute the stonings, in order to maintain the punishment

Upon witnessing the brutalities executed by Islamic extremists, a Muslim woman in Egypt named Marwa
expresses that the Islamic religion is false, and she converts to Christianity (Shoebat). Two years later,
Marwa is caught by her family, and her children and Christian husband are spared on the condition that
Marwa gives her life in accordance to Sharia justice (Shoebat).Marwas uncle ordered Marwas sister to
execute Marwas punishment. Marwa was beheaded and dumped at a cemetery, in order to teach a
lesson to other women who leave the religion (Shoebat). In Islam, it is forbidden for Muslims to leave
Islam and convert to other religions, therefore, Muslims must remain loyal to Islam (Shoebat). Otherwise,

An ex-muslim student, Sonia Wahab who resides in the UK has testified that is now an atheist and an apostate
of Islam (Wahab). Wahab expresses that she rejected this barbaric religion after finding out about the
countless killings of innocent people (Wahab). Wahab disagrees with the fact that, Islam is a religion of
submission, and those that do not submit against the power are subject to killing (Wahab). Furthermore, she
testifies that, Islam has damaged the core of my being and has taken away some real opportunities to
experience the life in free and secure environment. Wherever Islam is there is fear and deadly silence... Islam
is a monster of 21st Century and we all have to resist its violence under any fear or threat (Wahab). Muslims
