Village Lamp Post April 2016
APRIL 2016
Important Business
A reminder from the Village President: The Village
Board of Directors has been examining Amending Bylaw 11.5
by the membership in regards to raising the ceiling limit that
the Association charges for monthly assessments.
The Board has concluded that amending Bylaw 11.5 by the membership
to a ceiling limit from $150 dollars to $200 dollars per month is needed to
meet future annual budget increases.
Note: the $150 to $200 increase will not happen in one year. It is the
Boards plan to increase monthly assessments annually only as needed.
Informational meetings will be held on: April 19th, 2016 at 1 pm, and
April 21st, 2016 at 6:30 pm, to explain what the Board is proposing to have
the membership vote on and pass in the amendment to Bylaw 11.5.

OH Joy! The long anticipated wait is over and another new and
wondrous season has come into view.
is here with new life in many ways and designs.
Some will see it as longer days to play in the sun. Others will enjoy the
pleasures of digging in the richness of the earth, planting and watching new
life emerge.
Then there are some who will plant new life in ways we do not know
until the moment opens an opportunity to see what lies ahead.
Maybe a new friendship, someone in need of a helping hand,
or just looking forward to New Fun In The Sun, hiking, fishing
and boating for the outdoorsy types.
What ever you like to do, just be sure to have fun and enjoy it while you
can. Try something new this season. Step out of your comfort zone. Be open
to new and beautiful horizons that offers inspiration to your soul.
If bird watching is something you like to do, this is the time of year to
prepare, a short time before the Humming birds arrive.
They are known to come within the next two months. It is best to
prepare just ahead of their arrival and the SO Sweet Nectar that is there to
attract them the first time they come into your garden.
Heavevly Humming Bird Nectar
This is the absolute gold standard when it comes to
homemade hummingbird nectar and it is extraordinarily simple.
4 parts water
1 part granulated sugar
Heat water to almost to boiling. Remove it from the heat and add sugar.
Stir well until sugar is completely dissolved.
Be sure the nectar is cooled all the way before pouring it into the freshly
cleaned feeder. Refrigerate all leftover nectar in a tightly- capped container.
It can be stored up to about 3 or 4 days.
Now you are ready to hang the feeder out and enjoy the first of the
Hummingbirds of the season.
There is a lower trail and an upper trail. The lower trail is a fairly
easy hike and the upper trail is more strenuous but the views Oh my! Its
worth the extra effort.
Also, Spring wildflowers, wild turkeys, woodpeckers and deer are all
out and about!
