INTRODUCTION
Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897

and one of the most important leaders of our freedom


struggle.
He was chosen twice to be elected as president of Indian
National Congress.
Bose was active during world war 2 and wanted to get rid
of British rule with the help of Japan and Nazi Germany.
He was arrested by the British before escaping from India
in 1940.
He died on August 18,1945 in a airplane crash. This still
remains a mystery even after 70 years.

DECISION 1
Bose played a very active and a very critical part in

Indias political struggle in most of the 1930s leading


to our independence.

IMPACT 1
He established the Indian National Army (INA). This

army was made to fight with Britishers and give them a


fitting reply.

DECISION 2
Bose decided we have to fight Britishers with arms,

ammunition and army to get freedom in India.

IMPACT 2
Give me blood and I promise you freedom.
This slogan brought enthusiasm and lot of passion in
people to struggle and fight for freedom of India.
During the final two years of the war, the Indian
National Army was into battle against the British.

DECISION 3
Bose devoted his entire life to get freedom in India. He

used to say Jai Hind & Azad Hind.

IMPACT 3
He was twice elected President of the Indian National

Congress, the country's most important political force


for freedom from the Raj, or British rule.

BELIEFS
He wanted that the British should not rule India.
He was not in agreement with non-violence movement

of Gandhi Ji.
Bose believed that we cannot achieve freedom without
Arms and ammunition even at the cost of violence. We
have to fight them with army.
Freedom is every Indians birthright.
