After reading People Zoo, write a poem where one group of people, animals, or things switches
places with another. Make a list of things that could switch places (poor with rich, health foods with
sweetsjust think that eating ice cream sundaes could be good for you). As you tell of this switch, be
sure to get across some sort of theme. Remember this is for children, so do not go grossly deep in this
poem.
