PASSIVE

VIOLENCE
Five levels of passive violence

THE END OF WWI "THE

GREATEST MOMENT
IN HISTORY"

First level
Or so they thought. The Treaty of
Versailles ended the war to end a wars,
or the war that starts the war to end
all wars. The treaty it states: The
German army restricted to 100,000
men. The German navy restricted to six
battleships and no submarines.
Germany not allowed to have an air
force.Germany was responsible for
causing all the loss and damage
caused by the war.Germany would have
to pay reparations, to be decided later
eventually set at 132 billion gold
marks.

Second level
The Treaty of Versailles lead
to the Dawes plan and the
Young plan which state the
debt that Germany has to
pay. Germany does not like
that, because this them in
an economic decline.

Third level
When the value of money
decreases over a few
years that is called
inflation, but when the
Germans singed the
Dawes play and forty
percent of there gold and
silver was taken, the
purchasing power of there
money was declining over
mouths then weeks. This
is called hyperinflation.
By the time Germany
tried to counteract this it
was no help.

Fourth level
This is when Adolf Hitler
come into the picture. Hitler
was furious with the Treaty
of Versailles, because it
destroyed Germany. Hitler
decided to make his own
political party called the
brown shirts it was made
out of a lot of WWI veterans
that shared his views. He
finally shows his antisemitic
views. Hitler starts to get
more popular then when
Paul von Hindenburg dies
Hitler then comes to power.

Fifth level
Once Hitler is in control he goes against the Treaty of
Versailles and builds an military. He then limits the rights of
Jews since in his book Mine Kumpf he tells that the Jews are
the reason the country was failing. After taking the rights of
Jews away, and started dehumanizing them, putting the in the
gehotts. The final step was to start the "cleans" of Europe.
