As part of her senior project, a student will be co-hosting (with the Planned Parenthood of
Southern New England) a community showing of Trapped, a documentary by Dawn Porter. As
the U.S. Supreme Court decides in 2016 whether individual states may essentially outlaw
abortion (Whole Womans Health v. Hellerstedt), Trapped follows clinic workers and lawyers
who are on the front lines of the battle to keep abortion safe and legal for millions of American
women. Trapped is not rated.
The aim of this event is to bring awareness to TRAP (Targeted Regulations of Abortion
Providers) Laws passed by state legislatures, barring people from their reproductive health
rights.
This showing will be held on Friday, May 13th at 5:30 p.m. at Blackstone Academy. Admission
is free for all, and the event is open the public.
