Denso BHT-8000 Setup

Setup Instructions
1. Initialize the PDT
Hold down the [SF], [0] & [M1] keys and press the [PW] key
An INITIALIZE SYSTEM screen will appear
Press [ENT] to accept the prompt 1:USER AREA EXCEPT FONTS
Press [2] to select English and then press [ENT]
Press [1] to confirm initialize and [ENT] to proceed
The PDT will shutdown after the Initialize is completed
2. Configure the PDT
Hold down the [SF] & [1] keys and press the [PW] key to enter the SYSTEM MENU
Go to 4:SET SYSTEM > 5:COMMUNICATION > 3:COM PORT
Use the arrow keys (F5 F8) to set the following:
- 1:BASIC = Connector
- 2:SYSTEM MODE = Connector
Press [ENT] to save settings
Go to 4:PROTOCOL TYPE > 2:BHT-Ir Protocol
Press [ENT] when SET ID screen is displayed
Press [C] twice to return to the SYSTEM MENU
Press and hold [PW] to turn the PDT off
3. Download the application to the PDT
In your Lynx Software package go to Setup > Program Portable Data Terminals
Click Proceed and follow the displayed instructions
4. Configure the startup application in the PDT
Go to the SYSTEM MENU
Go to 4:SET SYSTEM > 1:EXECUTE PROGRAM
LYNX.PD3 should be highlighted press [ENT] to accept
Power down the PDT
5. Download Items to the PDT
In your Lynx Software package go to Setup > Program Portable Data Terminals
Select Send Items
Click Proceed and follow the displayed instructions
