WICKED AWESOME LEARNING OPPORTUNITY

WALO 2
Name: - Gautam Bhatt

As educator we go under many training session for professional

growth and find
New way to sharpen our saw and learn new skills. For same
reason our unit teacher were trained for Habit of mind. As part a
training we had to present one of the Habit of mind thinking
interdependently to our colleague in a group.
We were three colleague (Nandkishor sir, rekha mam, gautam sir)
in group and prepared presentation and activity for the same. I
began to share my interests with colleague and begin
conversations about their interests. This bridged new levels of
rapport, and soon led to deeper connections, resulting in the
formation of good presentation.
WALO-2: - WORK WITH MY COLLEAGUES TO PLAN PRESENTATION ON HABIT
OF MIND ON THINKING INTERDEPENDENTLY.

What did I do?

It all started with an idea to create rough draft for presentation and collect data and
images and video from internet. We share our idea and understanding relevant to
topic as our topic took lot of brainstorming for effective presentation.
Who was there?
Team member of transition unit and HOM Trainer
What happened?
In a group we presented on Thinking interdependently. One by one each of us presented their
Part.
4. What surprised me?
During the presentation to my surprise the Teacher who never used to speak also participated
with full fledge enthusiasm that was my greatest achievement.
MY REFLECTION:
It is totally a different feeling to know views on a single topic by Team members. I decided to
remain open-minded during interactions with Team member, and try to be more aware of
opportunities to share and connect. It amazed me at how a small change of perspective such as

this could have an impact. I realized that there are moments to connect and share with Team
member all of the time and justifying my presentation topic of Thinking Interdependently.
