Comparison and Conclusion Paragraph:

Although this might come out as a surprising conclusion, I think that Rogers Hi-Speed Internet is the ISP that
satisfied most of my needs.
First I would compare the prices of each internet package per month. My family wants a monthly internet plan
that price ranges around 80 to 90 dollars. For the first three months of activation, Bell takes the lead with the monthly
price being only $57.95, Rogers being in the middle with its price of $59.99. Teksavvy is last as it doesnt have a 3month promotion. If I continue to use the internet package for more than 3 months, the placings completely switch.
Teksavvys Cable 100 plan has the advantage in this section as it has the cheapest price of $82.95, Rogers following
up with $84.99 and Bell placing last with $89.95. Aside from the monthly bill, you will have to pay for installation fees
as well, modem rental, activation fees and installation fees. Bell is placed at first, as they provide a free modem and
installation, only having to pay $49.95 for the activation fee. Rogers is placed second, having a free modem rental, but
having to pay $49.99 installation and $14.95 activation fee. Teksavvy is placed last, as it has a free installation, but
you have to pay an activation fee of $45 and buy the modem yourself, which costs approximately $205 for a wireless
modem. Overall, Rogers Ignite 100U is in the middle price range for both monthly and additional fees, Teksavvy being
cheap for long term monthly fees but expensive additional fees, and Bell being cheap for short term for additional
fees, but having an expensive monthly fee.
The next comparison I shall make is the internet speeds. My parents and I use the internet every day, but at
different times. My mother uses the internet during the morning, my father at the afternoon and myself during the
night. My mother uses the internet to look at online advertisements, my father uses the internet to watch free Chinese
movies and I use it to play video games and for school, therefore all these activities do not require high internet
speeds. Cable plan speeds are only effected by the number of consumers at the same time and DSL plans have the
same internet speed no matter the number of users. Although Bells Fibe 150 plan has the highest internet speed with
50 MB up and 150 MB down, my family and dont need it that fast, as only one person uses the internet at one time.
Rogers Ignite 100U is perfect for my ideal situation as it has 10 MB up and 100 MB down, not too much and too less
for my familys interests. I dont want to be paying an extra 5 dollars for useless internet speed, so Rogers Ignite 100U
fits my family, followed by Teksavvys Cable 100, also having 10 MB up and 100 MB down.
The third comparison to make is the bandwidth. As my father downloads 1440p movies and I having multiple
tabs open, I think my family needs a lot of bandwidth in order to prevent paying over usage fees. Rogers Ignite 100U
is ideal for this type of situation as it has unlimited bandwidth, allowing us to freely use our internet without turning
down video quality or closing tabs. Teksavvy also has unlimited bandwidth like Rogers. Bells Fibe 150 only has around
500 GB of bandwidth, which is not enough as my family ended up using around 750 GB of bandwidth last month,
making me go over by 250 GB and paying an additional $100. Therefore, Rogers Ignite 100U shines in bandwidth with
Teksavvy, and with Bell in last.

The fourth comparison to make is the advantages and the disadvantages of the internet service plan. My parents
and I like to look at products and services that have promotions, because our family likes to get the most out of
everything. Rogers has the most promotions, as their internet bundle will give you many advantages and promotions
for signing up for them; they give you 24/7 tech support, Easy Connect, a free parental control software, Rogers Online
Protection Basic Suite, an anti-virus made by Rogers, Shomi for 2 years, a video streaming service and Rogers NHL
GameCentre, a service that allows you to watch the NHL for free. Bell only has 24/7 Tech support and a free basic
MacAfee security. Teksavvy only has 24/7 tech support and great customer service as their advantage. Rogers also
has less harsh disadvantages. Rogers might have constant disconnections and bad customer service, but Bells and
Teksavvys disadvantages are even worse. Bells disadvantages are techinically the same thing as Rogers but contains
even more connection failures and a less-tolerable custom service. Teksavvy has the worst disadvantages as it relies
on Rogers cables, frequent internet slowdowns, and has occasional internet outages that lasts for days to weeks.
Rogers Ignite 100U has the best advantages and the least worrying disadvantages with Bells Fibe 150 in second place
for both advantage and disadvantage and Teksavvys Cable 100 last in both advantage and disadvantage.
The fifth comparison to make is the e-mail features included in the internet service plan. My parents and I want
the best e-mail features, and Rogers e-mails provide that. Although Bell provides the best e-mail accounts, Rogers email accounts have the most features. Rogers e-mail accounts has unlimited storage compared to Teksavvy, having
only 1 GB of storage per account. Bell somewhat has unlimited storage, only if you use the storage slowly. Bell would
require you to delete or export your files if you use their storage too frequently. Another good e-mail feature that
Rogers have is that it can send e-mails up to a 25 MB limit but can also send huge file sizes as it is able to attach files
from other websites. Bell and Teksavvy are nothing compared to Rogers as Bell has a 20 MB limit and Teksavvy has a
10 MB limit. The Rogers e-mail accounts have features that the other e-mail services dont have as you can multitask
between mail, preview mail and documents and customize the layout of your webmail. Rogers Ignite 100U has the
best e-mail features compared to the other internet services, with Bell being placed second because of unlimited
storage and Teksavvy once again placed last for the least impressive features.
Finally the sixth comparison to make is the web-hosting space services. I might need a cheap web hosting
service for a future project, and unexpectedly, Roger has the upper advantage again. Rogers web hosting is the
cheapest with Teksavvy, only being $14.95/month compared to Bell being $16/month. Rogers web hosting allows you
to have the most e-mail accounts, providing 23 e-mail accounts containing 1GB of storage, compared to Bell providing
only 8 e-mail accounts with 3 GB of storage and Teksavvy, providing 10 e-mail accounts, sharing two databases only 1
GB combined. Rogers web hosting also has the most bandwidth, having 384 GB compared to Teksavvy having only
100 GB of bandwidth, and Bell having 10 GB of bandwidth. To top it all off, Rogers web hosting has a feature that the
other two web hosting services, dont have, 3 GB of website storage. Therefore, Rogers is the best web hosting service
as it has to most features, Bell being placed second and Teksavvy placed last.

One trait that Rogers internet service that isnt that great compared to the other ISPs is the variety of packages.
There are only 6 cable packages that are available to me in my area, which isnt that much to choose from. Bell offers
more packages as it has 8 DSL packages that are available to me in my area. Teksavvy gives the biggest variety of
choice, as it has 14 packages in total, 4 cable packages, 6 DSL packages and 4 Wireless broadband packages. Even
though that Rogers isnt specialized in this area of variety, it does not really matter as I think that this internet
package is already perfect and I wouldnt have to upgrade or downgrade in anytime soon.
Overall, I think that Rogers is the best ISP for my situation. I picked Rogers, because it is mid-ranged price, has
good internet speed, unlimited bandwidth, best advantages and least worst disadvantages, most e-mail features and
the best web hosting service. If I was a university student living on a low budget, I would choose Teksavvy as the
installation price may be high, but it has a low monthly fee. If I was an adult that has a job that revolves around the
internet that lives alone, I would choose Bell, because they have fast internet speeds, decent bandwidth and a good
web-hosting service. Thank you for reading my comparisons.
