Summer Learning Plan
For the last two summers of my highschool career, Ive done activities and lessons that
have occupied my entire summer. This summer, Ive decided to take a different approach. This
summer, Ive decided to work. But because that isnt impressive to colleges, I am going to
dedicate a few hours every week to volunteer at a nearby soup kitchen. I recently emailed the
woman in charge for scheduling appointments for students and she said something can be
arranged. If I were to volunteer, I would go two times a day for around 4 hours each day. This
experience will also help me write and conduct my senior paper and project because its related
to housing. If acceptable, I would like to interview constant visitors to help my senior project
also. Killing two birds with one stone.
