olive trees and he hears the princess playing. (She did this because Athene persuaded her to wash her clothes and them after they were done the princess decided to play.) he covers himself with a branch and asks for clothes so they give him soap and clothes. Then the princess tells him that he could ask for help at the palace and gives him directions. And after asking the princesses parents say that he has the princesses hand in marriage and that they can give him a boat.
Chapter title setting
At the beginning of the chapter (on page 64) Odysseus is
sleeping under a covering of olive trees on a river bank up in the high palace of the King of that country. I know this because the text says (on page 64) "now while Odysseus slept under his covering of olive leaves on the river bank , up on the high palace of the king of that country the princess Nausicaa slept also."
Theme in CER
In The Wanderings Of Odysseus by Rosemary
Sutcliff one of the themes is that life is full of surprises. We know this because it's says (on page 73) how Poseidon for an ancient grudge bore him had wrecked his boat. And the King said (on page 75) "but if your heart is set beyond all changing on returning to your own land, then assuredly a ship shall be ready for you manned by the best rowers in my kingdom." This shows that life is full of surprises because his boat was wrecked and they built him a new one. Therefore life is full of surprises is one of the themes in the wanderings of Odysseus.

In the Wanderings Of Odysseus by Rosemary Sutcliff
Odysseus is kind. Even though it's been a long time since he's seen other mortals he's very polite. On page 67 Odysseus says "oh young mistress are you goddess or mortal maiden?" This shows that he's kind, also he asked kindly for a ship. Also on page 66 he puts on a branch in front of ladies because he's still polite after all these years it says "and, breaking off a branch of wild olive to cover his nakedness."Therefore Odysseus is kind.
