Teaching
Professor Dunn taught in the Fall of 2014 ASL 1010 001 (5 students enrolled, 80%
response rate and 5.00 teaching effectiveness), ASL 101 002 (10 students enrolled,
80% response rate and 5.00 teaching effectiveness), ASL 102 001 (11 students
enrolled, 27% response rate and 5.00 teaching effectiveness), ASL 102 002 (6
students enrolled, 100% response rate and 5.00 teaching effectiveness), ASL 4600
001 (6 students enrolled, 67% response rate and 4.75 teaching effectiveness).
Professor Dunn taught in the Spring of 2015 ASL 1020 001 (5 students enrolled,
80% response rate, and 5.00 teaching effectiveness), ASL 1020 002 (14 students
enrolled, 100% response rate, and 4.93 teaching effectiveness), ASL 2010 001 (8
students enrolled, 100% response rate, and 5.00 teaching effectiveness), ASL 2020
002 (6 students enrolled, 100% response rate, and 5.00 teaching effectiveness), ASL
3490 001 (8 students enrolled, 100% response rate, and 4.63 teaching
effectiveness).
Service and Personal Development.
Ms. Misener Dunn has compiled a list of ASL poems and also negotiated with Dawn
Sign Press for the permission of copyright for using visual materials for Clemson's
Declamation. She has provided her professional service in evaluating all ASL
graduates for their ASL Proficiency scores. She has attended an ASL-English
Bilingual Early Childhood Education conference at Gallaudet University this Spring.
She also participated in SC ASL Teachers Association Chapter quarterly during
2014-2015.
Ms. Misener Dunn is still continuing her Ph.D. studies as part of her personal and
professional development. During the summer of 2015 she completed her research
internship at Visual Language and Visual Learning Lab (National Science
Foundation, based on Gallaudet University campus).
She collaborated with three scholars to write a research article for Reading
Research Quarterly (RRS). As of this date, it is under review by three peer
reviewers. She also submitted a proposal to a non-profit organization for
presentation this Fall.
The SC ASLTA CHAPTER meets quarterly. It became a chapter in the Fall of 2014. To
the date, they had two quarterly meetings.
Ms. Dunn also attended ASL-English ECE held biannually.

Chairs Assessment
Prof. Misener exceeded expectations and her overall rating is Excellent.
